In the field of surveying, a surveyor needs to keep his equipment (which may include instruments, prisms, level rods, prism poles, spray cans, other marking supplies, hammers, and other field supplies) safe and protected. Without the thought of keeping all of the equipment used on the field in surveying protected, then we know that surveyors will grow frustrated. Having to come back over and over again for a product that has malfunctioned because of an accidental drop is not something we want for surveyors. With our bags and cases we provide, you can reduce the amount of trips to our surveying supplies and equipment shop. This will not only save you time, but plenty of money as you can be doing more jobs while traveling with equipment you feel safe traveling with.
Our bags and cases are designed to protect your high quality equipment. Most bags and cases you will find can be used for a variety of different pieces of equipment. Our bags and cases can be used in various environments, as well as there are different types of bags and cases offered by us. We have bags and cases that can be used for travel while others may feel more comfortable using it solely as a protector while in storage. There is not just one sole purpose for a certain bag or case as many different surveyors use these in various ways.
Different Types of Cases
There are only two main types of cases most surveyors use out on the field. These two main types of bags and cases include hard cases or hard shell cases and soft or standard cases.
Soft Cases
Are cases that are meant to act as an extra layer if the case you are using is too fragile or simply too awkward or weird to transport from job site to job site. These soft cases are lightweight and sturdy enough to do just enough to keep inexpensive instruments protected. Most soft cases feature tough nylon straps along with a durable material which helps keep inexpensive equipment free from dust, dirt, and some weather conditions. Some will feature large or small pockets as well as hammer loops and some storage for marking supplies.
Hard Cases
These are cases that are meant for the expensive equipment you want to keep in the best condition possible. These are perfect for sheer toughness and equipment protection. These hard cases are watertight, they are shock proof, crush proof, and dust proof as well. These cases come with double latches which make it easy to open. Hard cases also have a solid wall design, and are made of rugged materials for long equipment life and durability. Many of these hard cases are available with rubber handles so you can easily travel with your equipment.
