5 out of 5 stars Quality Plumb Bob

Works just like a Plumb Bob should! Better than my laser in the sun.

Great basic tool

Easily find vertically aligned drilling points on a wall when a laser is not available.

The best on the market.

The best bob you can buy. Its heavy, so you cant kick it over easily. If buying, change the string when you get it, its cheap and snaps from the bobs weight

Low Cost but Well made

Well made, durable and by the looks of it, should last a lifetime

Before this one, have had several much lighter plumb bobs (5 oz, 8 oz & 16 oz)...and the problem with all the others is the slightest breeze will set them in motion: back & forth and side to side

Reason for having "several" plumb bobs is that I mistakenly thought that a thinner, narrow profile (rod, tube or hex shape) might stop the wind motion problem .... it didn't ....

Found the solution either in Amazon Reviews, another forum or feedback elsewhere, that a heavier Plumb Bob would limit, or stop motion caused by light winds or breezy conditions

This 32 ounce Plumb Bob certainly does limit side to side motion on light to moderately breezy days (sustained wind speeds over 10 to 15 mph - probably not)

....now I can focus on my projects being Plumb, vertical & straight up and down

If you use a twisted line for this (or any other plumb bob), you will get near endless spinning or rotation ....first one way spin, then, once it reaches the end of the twist will spin the other way .....

To stop spinning - find braided nylon cord approximately 1 to 1.5 mm diameter ...
